I am looking to construct a basic meta search engine. It needs to be developed using PHP, according to the guidelines below. I will construct the front end of the search engine. I just need the backend built. You can see a very rough draft of the front end at [url removed, login to view] As you can see, the engine will be compiling results from several locations. The web results will be from Alexa's Web Search: [url removed, login to view] The sponsored listings will be from RevenuePilot and SearchFeed. The shopping results will be from Amazon and Ebay. The related searches I am currently unsure of the best data source for. Programming specifications: The page that is currently the index page of [url removed, login to view] will be the search results page. I wish for it to be named [url removed, login to view] and for the keyword to be a variable in the url. (i.e. [url removed, login to view]). The [url removed, login to view] page will use seperate includes for each area of the page that requires data input. Meaning, there will be an [url removed, login to view] which retrieves the results from Alexa. A SSI would then insert the output of the [url removed, login to view] into the correct place on the page. There would be similiarily done [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], and [url removed, login to view] files. The output of all the files above needs to use CSS classes, which I will define and manipulate in the [url removed, login to view] file. Input and suggestions on the project are welcome. The programmer who wins this project will be expected to work closely with me and the materials to: 1: Ensure that the search engine conforms to the TOS of the data sources it will use 2: Ensure that the engine is quick, accurate, and dependable. Thanks! Adam
