amorebio was founded on February 14, 2012 and has been bio certified from the start.
amorebio delivers over 5400 organic products throughout Germany and Europe, including 120 vegetable varieties, as well as a diverse selection of over 630 refrigerated products.
The products are delivered fresh daily from more than 40 different natural food producers. Fresh produce is assembled in the cold room and packed in an insulated bag with gel packs, ensuring that the cold chain can be guaranteed during transport by the logistics partners.
Delivery takes place nationwide via the DHL parcel service. Regionally (radius approx. 100km), the goods are packed by the preparation team in various deposit packaging (boxes, cool bags, etc.) and delivered by our own drivers. Deposit packaging and empties are recorded by the driver at the customer's premises and then charged to the customer's account.
When ordering, the customer can enter text information about the delivery (e.g. desired delivery times, delivery to neighbours, etc.).
There are currently a number of manual steps in the delivery process, e.g. when marking the boxes for delivery and when the driver collects the deposit. These steps are time-consuming and mistakes can happen.
The planned DriverApp supports the driver in his tasks, especially when loading, unloading and registering deposits at the customer's premises.
By connecting the drivers directly to the amorebio database, the status of a delivery can be called up at any time and enables forecasts of delivery times at the customer's premises.
Automation makes the entire process faster and avoids processing errors.
