I am planning to create a project and would like to know if this is possible.
The idea is to create a WordPress theme where I will sell the license for this project. The theme will be used for a website where clients can watch recorded and live classes from YouTube.
This project is being developed using PHP and WordPress, along with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) and other languages as well.
The client will download and install the theme in WordPress, gaining automatic access to the platform. Now, I would like to know if it's possible to implement the following:
Within this platform, I would like to create a certificate system. During a live class, the student will enter their name, email, phone number, and a password provided by the teacher. At the end of the course, the student should be able to generate the certificate.
However, my intention is not to include this certificate system as part of the main theme, but rather as a separate component. This way, we can ensure good performance, as the client may have a large number of people watching the live classes without affecting the website's performance.
I would like to develop an independent plugin that can be integrated into the client's WordPress. Additionally, I plan to charge a monthly fee for using this certificate system. This way, at the end of the course, the student can generate the certificate online without the need for any staff involvement.
My question is: Is it possible to create a separate certificate system that seamlessly integrates with the existing WordPress theme?
