We have a wp webpage that we want to add a tracking plugin. The plugin is comprised of php functions that will pass information to a remote website. (I'm a php programmer, but don't have any WP exerience.) I wrote the plugin from Examples from the WP site. I need to have the plugin installed on the WP site and php embedded in appropriate pages/templates to call the functions and pass the data to the remote website. Currently it is just a stand-alone-php file. In the file are examples of how the functions could be called from within the page.
The plugin does not change the local display at all. No formatting, css, or anything local.
What I'm looking for
1) install pluggin and turn it on from administrator
2) install calls to functions on various pages
similar to <?php jrt_visited('video testimonials','breast'); ?>
There will be about 20 such calls made in various locations.
I will be doing the testing and validation. I expect that the entire project will take less than 4 hours.
