My problem - I have file names, but not directory location of zip files that need to be copied from current location to an external USB mounted drive. The system is a medical imaging (PACS) system and it stores over 1,700,000 files. I need to be able to provide the file name but not the directory location and have your system look up the location in an index that you will have crated and then copy the file. I think the most efficient way would be to build an index structure of all files on the system first to make searching quicker. The files will be 30-50 TB total. I will provide you with a few hundred thousand zip files to be copied.
