SMTP email from Raspberry Pi (In Python)

Hi I have a python project, written by a freelancer who is not able to finish the job. Everything is done except - the project uses the Gmail SMTP server - Google have announced they are closing down this service. I plan to change this to the Sendgrid SMTP server (I have an account). I have tried to figure this out myself - but I'm short on time. I don't want to put this project into use until I have this sorted out.

So - the job is to help me change the code to use the Sendgrid SMTP server instead of the Google SMTP server
