Job Description:
Looking for support in designing (not developing) a scalable backend database for managing an RFP/RFQ process for logistics services procurement.
Basic requirements are Business account with employees as users that have various permissions. Business user creates an RFP/RFQ that is sent to approved logistics providers who provide a quote.
Quote is auto scored and sent back to providers who have a second round to quote.
Once quote is accepted, unsuccessful tenders are notified and a standard contract is created for the successful quote.
Needs to have messaging ability so that quote queries can be addressed either privately or publicly.
The system has three user types:
1. Shipper: person/business shipping the goods. They will have an account with the system owner
2. Broker: system owner that facilitates the transaction between shipper and carrier.
3. Carrier: Business that tenders to move shippers product
Each RFP can have multiple sections and carriers must be able to tender by section.
