Program to automate redundant task

Hello,
I need a program that would automate a redundant task.
The task is:
1. Open one Excel file(the input file), copy the data
2. Open another Excel File, paste the data in a certain fashion. Enter a few more parameters as described in the input file
3. Close both the Excel files
4. Run a ".exe" file
I would prefer to have the program in VBA or any other language which wouldn't require me to download anything new.
