I am in Australia and need a tin in the shape of a rugby league ball ([login to view URL]). I want the ball to sit on a flat surface at an angle, (much like they are shown on the website above).
To achieve this we want to truncate the base.
The tin will open along the side seams allowing the ball to be in two halves.
Tricky bit: We want an insert to be able to be placed/clipped/secured onto the truncated bottom half providing a flat surface that runs through the middle of the ball. (This insert must be removable.) The top half of the tin must close with the insert still in place.
The tin would be made of aluminium or similar light weight metal. We have been told this is not possible. This seems achievable. See attached document for a poor visual representation.
