Looking to start a services website (serviceUK) where people from different trades such as plumbers, electricians e.c.t can register their business and details for customers to find. Contractors working on building sites can also create an account to find desirable tradesmen
For service companies they can register their availability for emergency call outs. This emergency call out can be used for the customer to contact at extremely short notice or for those seeking work at a moment’s notice.
3 Accounts to choose from when registering an account on the website;
Contractors – these accounts are to be charged at £10 per month. The contractor accounts can see files uploaded by the service members and can not pay for a feature account as this site is primarily for the service members gain.
Service Members – these accounts are to be charged at £5 per month and can also pay an additional £3 per month to be featured. Being featured will allow them to appear at the top of searches when a search is carried out for their discipline and they cover the area. Service members cannot see files uploaded by other service members.
Customers – these accounts can see the following: Logo, about me, contact details, open hours of all contractors and service members but cannot see files that have been uploaded.
To register to the website, they must use their email and create a password. With a forgotten password option. Passwords must include 5 characters with 1 uppercase and 1 special character and be repeated twice when creating an account. They may add their company details to the account but will not be shown until they have subscribed to the service as mentioned above. Companies that have registered may upload details for the following headings:
Logo: The company may upload an image of their company logo (not showing contact details) no more than 20mb in size.
About me: 500 characters to summarise the work they specialise in.
Open Hours: Business open hours
Contact No: Maximum of 2 different contact numbers these may be landline or mobile numbers and must be based in the UK.
Email: Company email address for enquiries.
Files: Each company may upload 10 pdf files of their company insurance documents/certificates so that potential contractors may see to ensure they are able to work. *CUSTOMERS CANNOT SEE THESE ONLY THE CONTRACTOR ACCOUNTS CAN*
Emergency callout: A tick box should also be made available for service members for emergency call outs to register their interest in conducting emergency call outs. Service members may also advertise their standard callout charge.
For customers to search the website they do not have to create an account, but they must create an account to see any contact information and to leave a review for services rendered.
A direct message option is a preferable addition to the site for people to directly message contractor and service members, much like the Facebook messenger. It should allow images to be sent and once the chat has ended a option for the chat logs to be sent to the two registered parties on the email addresses provided and then deleted from the page. Filtered to not allow any swearing on the chat.
The home page should feature 5* reviews which are automatically generated and fade every 20 seconds. Only for subscribing members.
There should also be a location tool in the centre of the page where customers can enter their address details, type of work required, and an emergency call out tick box if required. By entering these details all service members in that discipline that will work within that area will pop up in order of reviews (sponsoring members will appear at the top of the list).
For business enquires there will be a contact email however the email domain has not yet been created as they will share the same name of the website.
Additional ideas for creation are welcome, still in the design phase and looking for prices.
