Primary XenServer VM running Server 2008 R2 configured as a Primary Domain Controller via ADDS, went offline for about one day due to XENSERVER licensing. Made an offline backup of the VM, then upgraded Xenserver from 6.0 to 7.2 FREE edition. XenServer is up now and running fine.
However, during the time the DC server was off, I tried to SEIZE the FSMO roles based on YOUTUBE video. Did not take, as netdom query fsmo still unable to find any DCs. And now the two other VMs are having tough time communicating with the DC.

Hi, I am not bidding for this. Just trying to help as i have faced a similiar issue. so i would recommend not to waste much time and create a new DC if the environment is small.
