Autonomous Drone for Area Search
CAD model of missile is imported in Flight Gear environment using AC3D software. Missile controller is designed in Simulink which is integrated with Flight Gear.

Quadcopter is programmed to autonomously:
1- take-off
2- reach the target destination
3- land at destined location
4- drop the medic box
5- again take-off
6- return to lauch site
7- land

Initially, it was conceptually designed where different aircraft configurations were studied and then the best possible configuration was selected. Then this step was followed by preliminary design and detailed design in which airfoil was selected and sizing was done for aerodynamics, stability and propulsion analyses. After selecting materials and designing the internal structure for wings and fuselage the aircraft was fabricated and then tested in order to make sure that the design requirements are fulfilled.
