In probability theory and statistics, the Kumaraswamy law or doubly bounded Kumaraswamy law is a continuous probability law whose support is [0.1] and depends on two parameters alpha and beta. It is similar to the beta law, but its simplicity makes it a law used especially for simulations due to the simple form of the probability density and the distribution function. This law was initially proposed by Poondi Kumaraswamy (en)for variables that are lower and upper bounded.
