The Scope was to provide Piping stress analysis report using Caesar II software.
Pipe Support detail arrangements by selecting members and support structure.
Restraint summary for pipe support design.
Pipe routing confirmation with respect to stress analysis.
The full piping is GRE (non-metallic) and a specialized stress analysis is required with respect to ISO standard.

All the outputs were delivered within schedule. Also attended online client meetings to trouble shoot and close open issues related to supporting and routing with respect to stress analysis.

1. Client submitted to recheck and in detail requirements of Trunnions in piping systems that were failing in welding while calculating using kellogs method. It was an existing system and supporting cannot be changed due to some constraints.

2. Checked in detail the supporting of the piping system and for an in-depth calculation went with Nozzlepro FEA analysis to check the actual scenario. Modeled the supporting part, with material properties, piping loads, weld thickness and many more.

Finally, with the use of correct weld thickness and segregated piping loads, the supporting was ok in FEA analysis.

3. Finally, client was happy as there were no change in supporting involved and an in-depth calculation also helped them to make the owner comfortable with all the arrangements.
