Example of MS PowerPoint presentation
This is MS PowerPoint presentation on Solar and wind energy resources, taking into account the weather in the Chernobyl area. The report was presented in International Conference on Nuclear Decommissioning and Environment Recovery, INUDECO 2017, Slavutych, Ukraine (http://2017.inudeco.pro/en/). Resources of wind and solar energy in the region of Chernobyl are estimated taking into account local weather conditions according to meteorological observations for the last 12 years. It is shown that usage of wind energy is inefficient, due to the low average annual wind speed (about 3 m / s). The maximum solar energy with stationary orientation of the batteries is about 30% relative to the daily average. The account of uneven cloud shading during the year significantly reduces this fraction and affects the optimal orientation of the plane of the solar panel. The calculations were made in R-Studio with the help of C++ modules.
